Winter In-House

The Winter 2027 In-House League provides players from Kdg. through 12th grade a safe and fun environment to learn the necessary skills associated with volleyball as well as prepare for the expectations of competitive volleyball.  Grades 3/4 through 7/9 have one 90 minute practice per week and one match on Saturdays.  Kdg-2nd Grade (Little SpEichers) meets on Saturdays only for 45 minutes.  Girls 10/12 grade Academy meets for 90-120 minutes depending on enrollment and will utilize both drills and game play during their meetings.

All levels will get a team shirt included in their registration fee.  All should wear comfortable clothing to play in and athletic shoes.  They should bring a leak-proof waterbottle for water breaks.  Starting at the 3/4 grade age group they will also need a pair of kneepads for play.

DIVISIONS:

• Little SpEichers (Grades K-2, Coed) Volleyball skills and drills using oversized, lighter balls.
• 3/4 Grade, Coed - modified rules and net height.  1 practice and one game per week
• 5/6 Grade, Coed - modified rules and net height.  1 practice and one game per week
• Advanced League (7th–9th Grade Girls): For more experienced players ready for positional play, rotations, and more structured play (note: playing time may not be perfectly equal).
• Recreational League (7th–9th Grade Girls): Balanced playtime with positional exposure, ideal for newer players or those working on fundamentals.
• Girls 10-12 Grade Academy - Saturday program!  Girls grades 10-12 don’t miss out on our New Saturday program just for you! Players will have a practice session followed by a scrimmage game each week *. Players should wear athletic clothing and shoes and bring water. Program will meet for 1.5- 2 hours each week.*  *If we do not meet a minimum number of players the weekly time may be shortened to allow that a game may not be feasible. If that is the case players can expect more small group drills and personal attention to offset the time adjustment. Players will receive a team shirt.
• Note: For athletes just finishing 6th grade, it’s recommended to play a season in the Recreational League before moving up to Advanced.

For 7th–9th Grade Girls, two listed options:

• Advanced League — For experienced players seeking deeper positional play, rotations, and competitive structure. Playing time may vary.
• Recreational League — For players newer to the game or wanting balanced playing time while learning multiple positions.
• Note: These may combine into a single division only if registration numbers are too low — you will be notified ahead of time in that scenario.
